A great day at Ephesus with a personal guide
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

We spent a full day visiting Ephesus with Arzu, one of the professional guides of https://ephesusbreeze.com. She was excellent and we learned much more about the site than we would ever have done on our own. She provided us with much information and many stories that brought the site to life. She also provided a lovely lunch, told us about her own wedding arrangements and taught us some basic Turkish! A great experience! And Ephesus is not to be missed.Take our advice and stay overnight in Selcuk rather than Kusadasi or Izmir. And brush up on your knowledge of Greek and Roman Gods.

Amazing Day in/around Ephesus

We arrived Kushadasi via a cruise ship and had 1 day to see the sites at Ephesus. "Mert" met us at the port and he and the driver took great care of our small group of 5 the entire day. He did an excellent job of explaining the history of the amazing site and also personalizing his tour with stories he had. Of course, we had to do the lunch and receive a carpet demonstration, but no one pushed any sales on us. We took an Ephesus tour last year with the cruise ship and the tour this year through About Ephesus was WAY better. I'd highly recommend the tour company with hopes you'll also get Mert as an amazing guide!

It's Simply a Must-See!

It reminded us of our time in Pompeii and Herculaneum. Of course it was different, but it's another archeological must-see, if you are within striking distance. Impressive. Not too much walking, but enough. Stalls at entrance/exit sell everything at reasonable prices.

Great experience with About Ephesus Tours

Booked a private Ephesus tour with Osman Tourism (https://ephesusbreeze.com) based on their glowing reviews on tripadvisor and we weren't disappointed. Our tour guide, Gurkan, was pleasant, professional and very knowledgeable. There wasn't a single question that we asked that he didn't know the answer for. We're generally very curious about the various countries and cultures that we experience and we felt that Gurkan was willing to discuss not only about past history, but also about present-day life in Turkey. Our program also included lunch at and a tour of a local Turkish carpet workshop. We didn't expect much from this portion of our visit, as these kinds of stops usually translate into high pressure sales pitches and not much else. Again, we were pleasantly surprised. The setting was gorgeous, the food delicious and the actual tour quite interesting. Would use About Ephesus Tours and Osman Tourism again in a heartbeat.

THE BEST Way To See Ephesus In A Day
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

Incredible tour!!! Our dad booked this tour through the Cruise ship we were on. We had a group of 7 family members and this was the EASIEST, most FUN and valuable way to see everything we wanted to see in just a day. Our tour guide, Gonca, was so incredibly hospitable, knowledgeable and professional. We were able to see many sites, choose the ones we wanted and still feel relaxed and not rushed. It was catered to how we wanted it to go. The tour was not only about sight seeing but an interesting historical and cultural education. The lunch was lovely and I have incredible photos of us at the ruins. This has made us only want to do private tours from now on. We had our own very nice private, air conditioned van with driver. The transitions were so smooth and effortless. The tickets were purchased in advanced for us and it was just a breeze. Memories were made forever!

Surpassed expectations

Coming off of our ship, Gonca Dasdemir met us right on time with a smile and a spotless van with an excellent driver. With an impressive command of English she was well versed in the phenomenal history of the area...the incredible sites in Ephesus, Mary's Chapel and a wonderful al fresco lunch followed by a trip to an educational center where we saw how Turkish rugs are made. This was followed by an opportunity to purchase some exquisite rugs. When back in the area we will always book with Ephesus Tours and always ask for Gonca. She is an exceptional ambassador for her country. The tour company was very easy to deal with but Gonca's ability to impart information and share the love for her subject made this a wonderful day!

Another Great Review

Hard to add much to the many great reviews...but here are a few points. My wife wasn't feeling well the day of the tour and with this private tour we were able to still see all the sights we wanted to and were well taken care of the entire way. Our guide O.J. was AWESOME! I would ask for her again by name upon any return trip to the area. I would use the company About Ephesus Tours again no problem.

A little bit of history to take your breath away
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

We took a trip to see Ephesus and were not disappointed. Our friends had been there some 14 years ago and they noticed a massive change since then with the opening up of previously buried structures. We had a super guide called Sam (his real name was Sherkru) who coincidentally was the same guide our friends had before, his spoken English and knowledge of Ephesus are second to none. Tip for anyone visiting - strong shoes are best for uneven surfaces and take plenty of water to drink as there are no facilities of any kind while you are seeing the ruins. There is little respite from the sun so best to be prepared. If we visit Turkey again we'll definitely go to see Ephesus once more to find out more of the history of the place and observe how much more of the ruins have been uncovered.

Wonderful sights, and our tour guide Gonca = AMAZING!

Wow! We had an absolutely incredible day tour with of Ephesus. We were traveling through Turkey with a large tour group, but wanted a more intimate tour for our day in Ephesus; it was the best decision we made the entire trip. We took a private tour to visit Ephesus, Temple of Artemis, and a local rug vendor. Our guide, Gonca, could not have been more delightful! She met us promptly at our hotel in Izmir, and welcomed us like an old friend. Not only was she tremendously knowledgeable about the historical places we visited, she gave us much more insight about Turkey as a whole than we received from our large group tour guide. It would be impossible to adequately describe just how amazing she was, and how much we enjoyed her tour, her insight, and her personality on the trip.We could not recommend the company or Gonca any more highly! Thanks so much, Gonca, for such an unforgettable day!

Excellent Tour of Ephesus

I booked a tour through the internet for my mother and her friend who were cruising with a stop in (Izmir - Ephesus). I found communication with the company easy and they suggested an itinerary that would not be too taxing for my mother. They also ensured they would have a vehicle suitable for her walker. My mother and her friend were met on time at the pier and transported in a new Mercedes van to Ephesus. My mother has walking challenges but their guide assisted her and made it possible for her to see all of the sites. They also visited Mary's House as requested. My mother was delighted with the traditional Turkish lunch they experienced. They also had time to visit a traditional carpet weaving factory and learnt how carpets were dyed and woven which they both found fascinating and was one of the highlights of their day. I highly recommend Hulya Acar and Ephesus Tours - OsmanTurizim for the tour of Ephesus.

Testimonials & Reviews

We were on a 2-week cruise throughout the Mediterranean and thanks to reading reviews like this one, we decided to book a private tour through Ephesus Breeze. It turned out to be one of our best decisions on the trip and one that I would recommend without any reservation.”
