Perfect Private Tour for Four People
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

About Ephesus TeamThank you for the fabulous private day tour we enjoyed today. We paid $280, to our guide Ergin Ince who was excellent as was our driver, lunch & admission fees.We are very appreciative of the arrangements made for us & the mode of transport was most comfortable, clean & air conditioned. Our guide was inside the terminal waiting for us with our name displayed & was warm & welcoming.Ergin brought Ephesus to life for us & was extremely informative; we even had people listening to him & complimenting him on being a much better guide than theirs from other companies. He guided us expertly to be at the front of the queues & out of the heat as quickly as possible without rushing us or lessening our experience. Our driver drove at a safe pace & would park up in the shade to keep the vehicle cool until Ergin rang him to say we were on our way back & he would then have the air con working so the vehicle was an oasis of cool for our return. We recommend them on Trip Advisor as they have been honest, genuine & delivered a day beyond our expectations - THANK YOU VERY MUCH.

We contacted Tatma ACAR, of Ephesus Breeze Tours, through a friend. Fatma is a spunky, brilliant women with a sharp mind! She is incredibly knowledgable, practical and worked well with four adults and three college age kids. She kept us all interested and was able to give us history as well as information on current events in the area. I would definitely recommend her for any age!! She is a breath of fresh air!!

A Highlight of Our Trip

We were on a 2-week cruise throughout the Mediterranean and fortunately, thanks to reading reviews like this one, we decided to book a private tour through Ephesus Tours. It turned out to be one of our brst decisions on the trip and one that I would recommend without any reservation. We couldn't have been more pleased with the ease of booking, the reasonable cost and the prompt and well-organized service. However, the best part was our guide, Gonca Kizilhan. She was very personable, well-informed, entertaining and interested in making sure that we had a day to remember. We were fortunate to have her to ourselves (along with her driver - also a terrific person) so the tour was a very intimate experience. I told Gonca that we would like her to customize the tour as she saw fit rather than to follow the prescribed itinerary. it turned out to be a wise move since she took us to a couple of villages instead of spending an overly long (and hot) time in Ephesus. We spent a little more time with her over a leisurely outdoor lunch, got to know her and many of the Turkish people we encountered with her. This was our first visit to Turkey and thanks to Gonca it won't be our last.

Great tour guide!

We had a day in the Ephesus/Kusadasi area during a recent Mediterranean cruise. We hired Ephesus Breeze, to show us around. What a fabulous experience! Arzu met us at the dock with a very comfy, air conditioned minibus, stocked with lots of cold bottled water. He gave us a great tour of Ephesus and environs - Mary's house, Temple of Artemis, St. John's - then took us to a family farm / nomadic rug weaving training center for lunch. It was my mother-in-law's birthday, and Arzu arranged for a birthday cake for her at lunch - and taught us to sing "Happy Birthday" in Turkish. It was a delightful day. We highly recommend Arzu.

Excellent Tour - Highly informative and great service

We were on a cruise that stopped at Kusadasi and decided to do a private tour of Ephesus with About Ephesus (aka Osman Tourism) after reading the wonderful reviews. This is by far the best tour I have ever been on and it's actually cheaper than the tours offer by the cruise ship. Our guide, Muge Yesildag, was very friendly, professional, and knowledgeable about the sites we visited. She would point out the things to look for and her narratives were very interesting. We also visited a carpet weaving demonstration (which I was told was required on every tour) - it was very informative and I have a greater appreciation of these carpets after seeing how they are actually made. In sum, this is a tour I would highly recommend people do if they ever visit Kusadasi (or Izmir) and wanted to visit Ephesus.

By far, the BEST Tour and Guide in Europe - if not the world.

As an airline employee, I've had the opportunity to travel the globe and have taken numerous tours of extraordinary sites. This tour ranks #1 by far. My wife and I were joined by 2 other couples on a cruise - we were all excited to see Ephesus and searched for a tour company that would meet our needs. The tour company was very easy to work with and more than willing to accomodate our various ideas for the itinerary - and also offered superior suggestions to make the time even more memorable. The booking was simple and straight-forward and best of all there were NO hidden charges or surprises that have often arisen on previous tours and experiences. The value of the tour compared to the minimal cost was wonderful. All of the entrance fees, meals and service were included in the quoted price - no trying to renegotiate or "upsell" you on other items. All of this would have made for an enjoyable experience, but it got even better when we met our guide.Gonca Kizilhan was phenomenal!!! Her English was fluent and her knowledge of the sites, customs and her country was unbelievable. She studied archeaology in school and must have received superb grades - all of which enhanced what was already a memorable trip. She was so bubbly and fun to be with that we wished we could spend more time with her. All 3 couples felt as if we had found a wonderful new friend in Turkey. After returning, we've contacted her to discuss additional sites in Turkey that we would like to visit with her as our guide.I have every confidence in this tour company and their staff. All of them were extremely helpful, fun and polite. I look forward to booking additional tours in Turkey!

Fantastic!!!

We were met at the boat by Evren (spelling??) and our driver for a day long private tour. We went to Ephesus and a Turkish Rug maker, where we had our own private viewing and a wonderful lunch. He explained everything about the sites we were going to see, even making up stories about living in that time, as though we were actually there! Overall, for what is included and the personallized approach, I would recommend booking a private tour rather than going on a boat excursion! "About Ephesus" made everything easy and hassle free! It was fantastic!!

Ephesus Tour with Hello Ephesus

Ephesus - Hello Ephesus - our guide was 'Susie' - a great guide. I had arranged a specific tour to see all the things I wanted to see. Standard tours take you to 2-3 sites but I added Sirince Village and one other site at $100US ea.Any tour in Turkey will take to to a rug factory but our short visit - marketed to see how rugs made -did turn into a sales pitch but the vendor was very pleasant and we did not waste each other's time. Had a very nice lunch at our restaurant stop. Ephesus is 'Fantastic'. - a true marvel. Lots of people there but spread out. Do the Terrace Houses as part of the visit.Hello Ephesus very professional and definitely recommend Susie and our driver Suliman.A holiday highlightAll entry fees included in tour cost

The best tour guide

We just returned from an amazing full day guided family tour of the main Ephesus sites. This was expertly organized by Umit at Ephesus Breeze Travel. The days schedule was well balanced and kept the interest of everyone for the full day (2 adults, 16, 15 & 10 year old boys). Our guide was truly amazing, extremely friendly and polite but also knowledgeable and engaging. I recommend you request Hakan, he also has a great sense of humor! Both breakfast and lunch as well as private tour minivan with driver and AC were included. The meals were both in picturesque locations and with traditional Turkish food.I highly recommend Ephesus Breeze travel and both Umit and Hakan, no reservations. This is a high quality very professional company.

Private Tour of Ephesus - Fantastic and Affordable
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

Our family of four booked a private guide and driver for our tour of Ephesus while on a Mediterranean Cruise. We booked at https://ephesusbreeze.com. Our guide was Isik Madanoglu. Both our guide and driver were wonderful. We paid $260 for this tour - it was private, with a driver, included entrance fees, parking, and lunch! This is so affordable and we recommend it over a group shore excursion! We were met at port and drove first to The House of Mary and continued on to The Ancient City of Ephesus and The Terrace Houses. The highlights are The Celsus Library and Terrace Houses. Isik is such a knowledgeable guide. She answered all of our questions with accurate historical facts. We really enjoyed our tour! We visited June 16th and it was HOT! Take water, sun screen, hats or umbrella and good walking shoes. You do want to be in pretty good shape to walk around Ephesus. We appreciated that Isik would find pockets of shade for us while speaking with us. After the Ancient City, we drove to a carpet demonstration site. Here we had lunch al fresco - in the shade. It was delicious and relaxing. Then, we learned about the carpet industry in Turkey. It was interesting - we loved the carpets. If you are in need of a carpet - they are absolutely beautiful and a fair price. After this, we were driven back to port - our children went back to the ship while my husband and I walked around Kusadasi. We learned not only about Ancient Ephesus, but also about contemporary Turkey! We loved our tour and highly recommend About Ephesus!

Testimonials & Reviews

Eight of us on 12 night Mediterranean cruise arranged a tour through Ephesus Tours and were fortunate enough to be met at the cruise terminal by Gonca Kizilhan, a.k.a. Rosie, the most wonderful tour guide in all of Turkey! She was so knowledgeable, was able to answer any question asked of her and had the most pleasant personality.”
