We connected via email and coordinated the final details of our tour on a cruise ship. We asked for a customized tour, forgoing Mary's House and visiting the Terrace Houses instead. Despite connectivity issues everything was coordinated flawlessly. Our tour guide, Koray, met us at the ship with a driver. Koray was very knowledgable and interesting. I would definitely recommend this!
Excellent guide and tour
Was picked up by Gonca and Alp at the cruise terminal early morning and spent the day at Ephesus, House of the Virgin Mary and a delicious lunch at a local restaurant/carpet making place. It was just my wife and I but Gonca gave us a very enthusiastic tour as if we were a big group. She was full of knowledge and had a great attitude. Seeing Ephesus was incredible, and made better due to the guiding of Gonca and the (careful) driving of Alp. For those who have taken taxis or driven in Turkey you know how crazy it can be and Alp drives carefully and well.I happily recommend Ephesus Tours!
A Great Day
There isn't much more that can be said about the ruins at Ephesus and the Terrace House's. The ruins are just amazing to see and if you get a chance, don't miss them. The other thing that made our day so great was our guide, Gonca Dasdemir. Her knowledge of the history of Ephesus and her ability to communicate the stories was just plain Outstanding. She took us to a wonderful little restaurant in a pretty courtyard with very good food. She asked what we were interested in purchasing and explained where to find quality items and were not to buy. She told us the best way to negotiate with the sellers. We all agreed she was one of the best tour guides we had been with on our trip.
An Amazing Site
The historic site is being preserved as much as possible and Archeologists are uncovering more and more fantastic areas daily. Long day, no shade so a hat is needed.
a wonderful experience with our guide Koray..
we have visited Turkey on october 2014, and we have opportunity to go to Efesus, mary´s house and Kusadasi. We did the tour with a Turkish guide that speaking very good english , Koray who enlightened us about the whole story and made our visit more enjoyable.Despite of our whole shopping craze, he always was with patience and with smiling face.great tour program and a delicious lunch...thanks for all team .. Mrs,Hulya, thanks for all programming, our captain, thanks for your patience...and Koray.. speciall thanks to you ,for everything..for all your support us.it was lovely day with all of you.
Amazing but tiring
Ephesus is an amazing site to visit but it involves alot of walking over uneven ground and dusty paths. It is very busy and hot. Make sure you take water inside as once in there's nowhere to buy any. Also wear comfy shoes (not flip flops) and sunscreen as little shade. Buy a guide book off eBay before you go as cheaper and helpful. Start at the top as easier downhill and also goes with the crowds. Make sure you have a camera as you'll want to take away some great memories of this unique experience.
Best Tour we have taken
We are very hesitant to take tours and generally do our research on-line and proceed on our own. We decided to make our day in Ephesus an exception and hired About Ephesus to be our guide. The tour was wonderful and our guide could not possibly have been better. Filiz Telier was our guide. She was very knowledgeable in the history of the area and provided great insight into what we were seeing. Her background provided us with much more than we could have done on our own. There were only two of us on the tour (Private Tour) and our guide made it a very special day and one which we shall never forget. About Ephesus Tours was very easy to work with and provided everything advertised........ and more given the quality of our guide.
A great day touring in Ephesus
My wife and I enjoy cruises and using TripAdvisor to find private tours other than using the ships big bus tours. This is a great tour to Ephesus and Virgin Mary's church. Hulay (Julia) Acar who is a wonderful guide and speaks very good English met us at the pier and took 4 of us in a very comfortable mini bus (with a driver) to all the sites. She is very knowledgeable and even volunteers at the dig site in Ephesus so she knows the area well. If you get a chance to visit this area of the world, I would highly recommend her and Osman Tourism. They have a web site that you can look into and it is https://ephesusbreeze.com. They do all kinds of tours in the area. I felt safe and would definitely use them again.
Hulya gave us a fascinating four-hour tour of Ephesus. It included the ancient city, lunch at a charming outdoor restaurant and a demonstration of silk and carpet making. The carpet sales folks put on a great show, and everyone should experience it at least once, even if you don't buy. Be sure to include the terrace houses in your tour. They cost extra, but provide an interesting look at how the rich - and probably famous - lived thousands of years ago. Lots of companies provide Ephesus tours, but we thought Ephesus Tours gave us an outstanding value.
Full day private tour of Ephesus
We took a one day private tour of Ephesus with Gonca at Osman Tourism Plc. She and her driver picked us up at the airport in Izmir in a super clean and comfortable van and we visited the House of the Virgin Mary, the Temple of Artemis, and the ancient city of Ephesus including the terrace houses. Everything went like clockwork. Gonca is very knowledgeble and she made the visit highly interesting and entertaining. She went above and beyond, as my husband left his phone in the van, she took pictures for us and emailed them to me once we were back home. We also had a lovely lunch outside under the trees and a visit to a rug factory where we learned about carpet weaving but felt no sales pressure at all. I would recommend Gonca and Osman Tourism
I would like to book,
Wondering what to see?
Basilica of St. John

Testimonials & Reviews
“Our Guide brought Ephesus to life for us & was extremely informative; we even had people listening to him & complimenting him on being a much better guide than theirs from other companies. He guided us expertly to be at the front of the queues & out of the heat as quickly as possible.”
