Good informative tour

Our group of six spent a day with Ephesus Tours. Our guide was very informative and we got a nice personalized experience. They picked us up from and dropped us off at our cruise port, which was very nice. There were no forced salesperson at the end, which was good from some other tours we researched. Overall, highly recommended if you can stand the walking around and the heat.

Informative.. A must see trip.

I was overwhelmed! Amazing findings in great re constructed or original conditions. To be able to visualise the gladiators entering the arena. The library! Streets that were lined with shops & homes. Great half day tour, very hot with very little shade so take a hat and sunscreen. However there are a small selection of shops at the entrance selling souvenirs, water hats etc. P.s- There's a lot of cats I was concerned they may not have water & food but there is a man that's feeds them etc... So collects small donations at the exit.

Amazing Ephesus Trip

A great day in Turkey during a stop on our cruise. We had a very friendly and knowledgeable guide, Hakan, who was so personable and took us to the House of the Virgin Mary and Ephesus. We had a reasonably priced and delicious lunch outside. We returned to the ship in plenty of time and had a wonderful day!

I was so impressed with Ephesus site, there was so much to see, I'm not usually in to seeing ancient ruins, this was a trip, that I was glad that I didn't miss, if you have to visit one site, then definitely make it this one. The marble road was a bit slippy as downhill, so wear shoes/sandals with rubber sole. The guide we had, she was so enthusiastic with plenty of history to tell us about this amazing site. There are a lot of cats about and she always had food with her to feed them. You could just visualise how the local people lived there many many years ago. This is a whole town, with shops and underground homes. You cant see them as most of it is covered but can imagine how it was for them to stay underground. Very interesting archaeology site.

Definitely a do-over

This was our third trip to Ephesus and the second one with Julia and Ounce Travel/aka About Ephesus Tours. Because we toured with Julia two years ago, I specifically requested her again simply because of her broad knowledge of this incredible complex. Walking where Paul walked and sitting in the arena where he preached gave me chills. The terrace houses are a marvel, an astounding jigsaw puzzle, which many labor to piece together on a daily basis. The "modern-day" conveniences they had back then are incredible. The very first time we visited Ephesus, we had no guide, just wandered by ourselves. A knowledgeable guide brings it all to life, pointing out items, buildings, nuances you would never recognize without the benefit of a "teacher." The van was new, clean, a/c, with an excellent driver. Julia presented us with a little gift bag at the conclusion of our journey as we were dropped off just outside the port gate. Had we so desired, they would have taken us to the ship instead we preferred to walk about Kusadasi a little before returning to board. Although I had specifically requested we not do a carpet demonstration, we were taken to one for lunch anyway. We watched the demo; however, the sales presentation was definitely not hard sell, and we departed promptly after a very good, typical lunch. This is an excellent way to spend your port day!

We visited Ephesus as a day trip from Istanbul. We had flown into the airport at Izmir where Hulya and our driver were waiting for us. Hulya was attentive, personable, and a true wealth of knowledge. Her knowledge about the history of this area brought Ephesus to life for us. Additionally, the fact she has voluntarily helped with the archeological digs of the Townhouses allowed her to provide in-depth information about the site itself. If you are in Turkey, I highly recommend going to Ephesus and if you're going to Ephesus and can work it out, go with this company. No doubt about it, they helped make this one of the most incredible memories from our travels.

Tigen Oral provided a wonderful guide for our trip to Ephesus and other local sites, May 2015. He was very informative, a good driver and was there waiting for us when we came off the ship. Our numbers in our small group had expanded and this company graciously obtained a larger vehicle to tour us around. I would highly recommend this company for an exciting and memorable tour.

Dream come true.

Visiting Ephesus was a dream cone true. We had a very well educated tour guide that gave the utmost information in the space of time between each and every ruins. Mr Istemihan Teleri has a wonderful sence of humour that kept us on our toes thriving to learn more history from him. I 200% recommend this intelligent, polite and very patient man who is educated in many languages. I recommend him to any one who want to see any part of Izmir or Turkey and learn more then any other guide can offer. He also took us to Sirince Village. An extraordinary man I am so greatfull to have meet. Ephesus Breeze TOUR - Mr Istemihan Teleri - 256 6129990 I promise you won't be disappointed. We have already arranged our next tour with him for Capadokiya in a few months.

We flew to Ephesus on a day trip from Istanbul ... had a phenomenal tour with Gonca throughout the ancient city, House of the Virgin Mary, Temple of Artemis, etc. Highly efficient - no issues - she met us directly at the airport and dropped us off with ample time to fly back. Gonca and the driver were so knowledgeable, so accommodating and so incredibly friendly. My wife and I consider this stop on our trip to Turkey one of our top highlights.

Testimonials & Reviews

Wishing to avoid the high costs charged by a cruise line for a visit to the ancient sites of Ephesus and having read previous Trip Advisor reviews, we e-mailed Ephesus Tours to arrange a private tour. Met us exactly as promised on arrival and the guide that they provided us was excellent with fluent English.”
