So rich with the historical sites
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

Worth your time to see part of the history. The ruins are very well preserved in an area. It is best to have a guide to explain the historical aspects of the ruins. The place is really big to walk around. Not to miss the Stadium and Ephesus library.

Excellent experience

My friends and I booked a guided-tour through Ephesus Tours. We had a van to ourselves and an excellent guide, Gonca. I think the tour was excellent because our guide was very friendly, spoke well and knew her stuff. She was also very passionate about showing us the wonders of her country. We had an excellent time and I highly recommend this company.

Best Tour of Ephesus with "aboutephesus.com"

We were on a Holy Land Cruise with Celebrity the last two weeks in October, 2014. I contacted "About Ephesus" about four months prior and booked a private tour. Very easy to communicate with the company. We were met at the port with Arzu. She was fantastic. Arzu with extremely knowledgeable and was considerate to all our needs. Highly recommend "about Ephesus.com if you are going to Turkey.

We had a group of 7 persons and we all agreed that our tour guide Halil was the best ever. We enjoyed the tour and much better our guide explained everything so well that we were surprised that such a young gentlemen new so many things about his country. The lunch was also very good. We were in the Celebrity Cruise Silhouette and I think that we were in Turkey on October 7. Halil was waiting on time out of the Cruise terminal and he really met our expectations. Thanks so much.Maria.

Even Better the Second Time Around!

I enjoyed a Private Ephesus Tour in August 2013 while on a cruise with my son (just the two of us). I enjoyed it so much, that this year on a cruise with my wife and two friends, I wanted to do the same tour again to share the experience. We booked a Private Ephesus Tour on October 24, 2014 and were met by our guide and driver in a luxurious, comfortable van. Our Tour Guide was Gonca - who was fantastic. I would give her a rating of “10 out of 10”. She was very personable and knowledgable. It did not take very long and it felt like she was a good friend. Gonca's personality and great sense of humour made our day in Ephesus one of the highlights of our whole vacation. She adjusted the itinerary to meet our interests. The ancient city of Ephesus itself is spectacular, and our visit to Mary's House was moving, but the most enjoyable highlights were lunch and a quick trip to Selcuk. Lunch was at a traditional Nomadic restaurant, where the food was excellent and the atmosphere even better. We enjoyed much laughter along with the meal. Thank you, Gonca, for a very memorable day. I would not hesitate to recommend About Ephesus to anyone visiting Kusadasi, and I will definitely use them again if my travels take me to Turkey in the future.

Great day tour of Ephesus and House of Mary

My friend and I were picked up by guide Cigeem Goktas (not sure about spelling) and a driver in a comfortable, air-conditioned van. She spoke excellent English and was very knowledgable. In each location or area, she provided us some history, then gave us time to wander/talk/take pictures on our own. She was always waiting where she said she would be when we were done. We very much enjoyed the drive up to the final home of Mary, and the walking tour of Ephesus. Lunch at the carpet place was delicious, but the carpets are pretty expensive. The nearby pottery place, which we asked to stop at, was ridiculously expensive. Skip it, unless you have nothing better to do with your money! I would use them again.

Ephesus by van

We toured throughout Ephesus in a very comfortable van. Our guide Arzu, was knowledgeable and very pleasant to chat with. The ruins were well worth the visit, I would highly recommend. The overall tour was wonderful including the lunch. I could have done without the sales pressure at the carpet store but they provided a wonderful lunch and an overview of carpet making.

Great private tour with a knowledgeable tour guide

We were met at the the appointed place and boarded our virtually new van for our Ephesus tour. The arrived early morning for our visit to Mary's house and enjoyed the knowledge that our guide shared. By arriving early the lines were very minimal but one hour later as we left the wait times were quite long.Ephesus is a must for anyone that seeks a visual event tied around history and Christian religion. Our guide traveled at our pace, shared information, help with pictures and proved to be a very nice man that had our interest at heart. Lunch was great along with the visit to the carpet weaving shop where we were shown how silk is extracted from cocoons that come from the mulberry tree.Arrived back to the ship at the designated time and really enjoyed the day.WEAR YOUR WALKING SHOES

We arrived at Kusadasi on Ocean Princess. Tour guide met us at pier. We had an informative tour of Epheseus followed by option to go to carpet weaving for leather factory then a wonderful Turkish lunch buffet. Tour guide also gave us very good information for Istanbul that saved us a lot of hassle for our self-guided tour. Lastly, this company takes your American credit card and charges you in USD!

Ephasus Tour
stars 5 out of 5, Reviewed on

We thoroughly enjoyed our Ephasus tour. Our guide Ali was waiting for us when we got off the ship. The van was exceptionally large and clean. Ali was very knowledgable and interesting to talk to. He was good at getting us around all the crowds in Ephasus and had our tickets all ready for Ephasus and the Terrace Houses. We enjoyed a great lunch at a lovely outdoor spot, which ended up also being a rug store. We also stopped at a pottery store, which was very interesting but the owner was a little too high-pressured with his sales pitch. Our only complaint would be that the rug store and pottery store were sprung on us with no advance warning, and we thought we should have had the option of going there--although we did buy from both places and are happy with our purchases. Be prepared to "talk Turkey":).

Testimonials & Reviews

I booked online with Ephesus Breeze as an alternative to the cruise ship sponsored excursions for a one day tour for myself and my two teenage sons. Booking was simple. We paid a small deposit via paypal, and then the balance in cash in US dollars at the end of the tour. The fee included all entrances.”
