Best tour - aboutephesus.com
Great guides. Brand new MB vans. Great information! Don't take the cruise line tours - they are so expensive!! Go on Cruise Critic and go to the roll cal for your cruise and ask who wants to go on a private tour. Save money! Meet fun people!
About Ephesus Tours
In Nov 2011 we were visiting Turkey for the second time in three years, but it was our first time to Izmir. We heard alot about the Ancient City of Ephesus and hence wanted to see the place. I looked on the Internet for the fellow travellers reviews and noted that About Ephesus Tours had five stars rating, on many websites. I wrote them an email of my preferred destinations near Izmir and Ephesus. They were simply GREAT!!. We cross emailed for more than a month (I am an accountant by profession and wanted the best deal) and they were always very very helpful indeed. The day when Tour had to began, our Tour Guide Gonca (She was great and i will write a separate Para on her) and our driver SkyHigh were at the hotel before the agreed time. For you to understand the price competitiveness of About Ephesus consider this => when we asked our hotel (without letting them know that we already have a tour booked for next day with About Ephesus) to quote us a price for this Tour Itinerary, we were quoted a 10% more price in a shared vehicle. On the other hand, About Ephesus send us a VIP, 14 seater Mercedes van, crisp condition. The guide (Gonca) was very flexible - being a private vehicle they would stop anywhere we asked them to. It was amazing experience with these great people. Along with agreed desinations they also took us to Carpet Making (where we saw cacoons and silk extractions) and to Pottery making. Also, they were so flexible that on Day 2 we changed our mind of going to Paumakkale (being a 4 hour drive one way, total 8 hours) - they happily agreed and changed the itinirary of the day and gave us reduced price for the revised destinations, without any penalty or without any fuss. They arranged a full day country side tour (MilliPark, Cave of Zeus, Sirince Village, Cotton Fields etc). Now abuot Gonca - she was the reason we enjoyed so so much in Izmir. She had a smiling face. She was polite, considerate and very very infomative. She is a good fotographer too as she took many fotos for our whole group. I strongly suggest that if you have an option, request About Ephesus team to pair her with your group. At the end of day 3, she was just like one of us - she ensured that we eat what we liked, she always ensured before meal time that what we wanted to eat - she woult call the planned restaurant and request them about our preferances. She was simply great - a big reason why we enjoyed Izmir / Ephesus so much. Thanks Gonca!!!
We had the pleasure of being guided thru Ephesus thru ephesusbreeze.com. We had a terrific day with Raife and our driver (sorry, I forgot his name) in Kusadasi and Ephesus on November 11th . She is a very considerate and knowledgeable person. Our tour was flawlessly performed from start to finish. Please send Raife and our driver our highest regards.
Great day in Ephesus
Our tour guide Mrs Selda and driver were very professional. I was traveling with 2 adults and 8 college students, the day was wonderful. I did not know what to expect at the rug factory, however the students were very interested in how they were made and enjoyed that part of the trip, Lunch was great. Ephesus was a great place to visit and Mrs. Selda made it a wonderful day.
Cheap way to see Ephesus
Cruising, we anchored in Kusadasi and wanted to see the Ancient City in Ephesus. As the ship excursions were very expensive we chose to go private. Booking with Ephesus Excursions was easily the cheapest. Our driver (Yucel) met us at the port with our name on a sign and drove us to the ancient city; dropping us at the top and picking us up again at the bottom. He was wonderful and the whole trip only cost 50 Euro (for all four of us), He gave us plenty of information about Kusadasi, and would have been happy to drive us anywhere we chose. A great way to see Ephesus on a budget. Highly recommended.
Great Bargain Tour
We have just returned from the November 2 - 16 Mediterranean cruise on the Star Princess and used About Ephesus Tours for our private tour of Ephesus from Kusadasi. At a cost less than a ship's bus tour with a herd of people, the two of us were provided a wonderful guide, Gulcon (Rose), a driver, and a new Mercedes minivan. All admisiions were included as well as a very nice lunch. We visited The Virgin Mary's House, were guided through Ephesus including the Terrace Houses, and stopped at the Temple of Artemis for photos. This was one of the best and most economical tours of our cruise and we certainly recommend that anyone visiting Kusadasi consider this tour.P&J

A great day! A private tour is the way to go.
We had the pleasure of booking our excursion to Ephesus with Osman Tourism which runs the https://ephesusbreeze.com tours. Our professional guide, Selda was a young, refreshing, charming, and above all knowledgeable guide which made the day a very worthwhile and pleasant excursion from our one day stop from our cruise ship. Everything went smoothly, and even the lunch that was included hit the spot. As most tours do, they make a stop at a carpet and/or pottery maker to see the process. There is no obligation to buy anything. Cruise ships do this on a routine basis. Much nicer when it is a private tour. I can understand why aboutephesus is rated so highly. Of course having guides like Selda should keep them at the top. All of us would strongly recommend booking with them.
On our recent NCL Jade Cruise Oct / Nov we used Ephesus Tours for our tour. Booking was so easy. Our guide Amy was waiting as our ship docked & we were whisked away in comfort for a fun & info filled day. Amy efficiently guided us through the crowds making sure that our small group of 8 arrived before the larger buses thus allowing us to get the full experience. Our lunch at the Carpet school was both tasty & enlightening! None of us actually understood the process of collecting silk or the painstaking job of making those beautiful works of art. We wish that we were there to purchase but not this time. Our group of 8 highly recommends using this company for your trip to Izmir.
A great Day In Ephesus
This tour was booked through aboutephesus.com. It was easy and handled professionally all the way. Our guide, Gurkan Nakipoglu, met us at the port and spent the day making ancient Ephesus come alive for the 6 of us. His knowledge and personality made this an unforgettable day.
I would like to book,
Wondering what to see?
Celsus Library is one of the finest buildings in Ephesus. The two-story building contained over 12,000 hand-written books, making it one of the largest library collections of its time.
Testimonials & Reviews
“Our Guide brought Ephesus to life for us & was extremely informative; we even had people listening to him & complimenting him on being a much better guide than theirs from other companies. He guided us expertly to be at the front of the queues & out of the heat as quickly as possible.”
